Wine Tasting ToursWINE TOURS & ATTRACTIONS

Your host, Maryrose, is a former winery tasting room manager. She has managed the Finger Lakes Champagne House (now Penquin Bay) on Seneca Lake Wine Trail and Knapp Vineyards on the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail. She has worked in the New York wine industry for the past fifteen years most recently as a manufacturer’s rep servicing wineries with tasting room supplies. Maryrose can help with your wine trail visit. She will call ahead to make Wine Tastingreservations for tastings, dining, touring and Limo service with advance notice. For a personal wine trail tour “on board guide” Maryrose is also available for a full day of touring. Additional fees apply.

A short drive along one of the most scenic byways in the Upstate area is the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail where you can sample the many varietals that make our wine country most unique. Dining along this trail is easy with many winery cafes dotting the landscape. Stop for an ice cream cone on the way back to our place. Only twenty minutes west of our door is the Seneca Lake Wine Trail. Dine at a winery and local restaurants, meet the winemakers and stroll through the vineyards. Further west is the cozy Keuka Lake Wine Trail, a short drive from Rochester and Buffalo. Our region is now home to over one hundred wineries.

Special wine notes: Last year, 2007 was a stellar growing season in our region. Rich ripe fruit punctuated last fall’s harvest. These wines will be available to taste in summer and throughout the 2008/09 growing season and are nothing less than exceptional. Collecting this vintage will be on the minds of wine drinkers for sure. The popularity of our wine region is growing rapidly and you will discover why the minute you hit the trails. CHEERS!
